STARCRAFT MARINE - A First Person Shooter on Unreal Engine
Starcraft Marine is a first person shooter amateur game created by J Lucas, it is a standalone title made on the Unreal Engine. This is a very interesting take on the Starcraft, basically a first person shooter, Starcraft Ghost that we never received (Remember that unreleased game teased to us like 20 years ago).
The game has itself just 3 levels that take few minutes but imho it shows some potential, first because we've never got a proper shooter experience in the Starcraft universe. Second, please treat it more as a tech demo because it's just a beginning of the project but thankfully you will recognize this is a Starcraft game right from the bat.
You are a Marine armed with a C-14 Impaler Gauss Rifle, it holds 50 rounds in the magazine, this is your standard weapon useful in the medium range, it also has got some recoil. For the close encounters you have to the automatic shotgun that holds 9 shells in its tube, it is a very good weapon in the close encounter due to damage and firepower but for longer ranges, surely not. The Sniper Rifle is by far the most useful weapon in the game to use, you have the scope plus it does not alert the enemies for now, plus most of the enemies die to one shot. The last weapon is the Punisher Grenade Launcher used by the Marauders, these are really powerful grenades but while for smaller enemies these are overkill, against the final boss it's not too much. The levels have a very basic structure and in some cases you can see the enemies from far away and they can shoot you through the collisions, but the game itself is nice to try. And stay away from the Infested Terrans, they are a real armored nightmare, they can easily take you down with just one explosion, they are your highest priority ;(
