00:19 video games use more video card than processor, 1:07 people keep their PC’s, 1:43 the Tweet, 2:58 it seems AMD is a better offering, 3:33 Intel 13th Gen, 5:21 AMD Ryzen 7000, 6:28 AMD power use-age, 7:40 finishing up

Knowing that processors are the least likely to be replaced in a gaming PC, I went ahead and did a summary for the uses of the processors. In the process of this, I pointed out some interesting things

Summary:

Video games use more video card than processor (usually). People usually keep a gaming PC for 3-5 years before buying a new one

AMD Navi 31 will have Display Port 2.0 or 2.1. This is a big deal because Nvidia RTX 4090 only has 1.4a. AMD may just have a better offering. Time will tell

I think that Intel 13th Gen will be the budget gaming and streaming platform. The retail price listing for the i5 13600K is 319 USD. It can use DDR4 RAM/Memory furthering the savings. I do not know if that increased power draw will be a factor in the costs. Regardless that 6 P + 8 E core is looking mighty fine

AMD Ryzen 7000 series/platform is going to be the long term platform. AMD did say the V Cache models is a possibility. Desktop APU's will be next year. If you can afford the AMD platform, it will give you options

If the AMD Video Cards coming up will have a lower power draw than Nvidia.. Then that means AMD will be friendly to small form factor builds (ITX and M-ATX). This is great for brand name PC companies because M-ATX is usually cheaper than ATX (cost of part and shipping)
