I decided to do a recording to share my information or knowledge to new or returning players. I think that GW 2 will see an influx of players due to the lull in the game releases

TLDR:

GW 2 base game is free to play. If you want to play all of the content, then you would need the expansions. I recommend trying the base game first and if you like it, then buy the expansions

GW 2 and Path of Exile are the friendliest online games for Linux at this time. I wouldn't be surprised if GW 2 works on Proton (Steam)

There are a few good websites but I think the most important is the official wiki, and the build calculator. To find some things in game, you will likely need to resort to Youtube

I disagree with a lot of the crafting guides out there. They say to buy your stuff to level fast. I would recommend using the materials you find along the way. Use Discovery as much as possible as it nets you more experience than straight crafting most of the time

GW 2 makes it possible to max level a 2nd character near instantly. It is convenient but not required to have 2 characters. If you plan on doing it though.. Have one specific to PvP, and one specific to WvW and PvE (example)

I forgot to talk about heal power but it isn't great. It takes too much heal power to get anywhere with skills that heal. The best way to heal in GW 2 is to stack it as much as possible
