I always thought Super Mario Advance was a great launch title for the GBA in 2001 showing us right off the bat what we were getting with the extra screen resolution and wider ratio of the new system. They also added just enough so that it wasn't a simple port from the Super Mario All-Stars version of Super Mario Bros 2 either.

Biggest gripe is simply caused from the required crop from the original 240p to the smaller resolution of the GBA at only 180p. This causes the camera to have to "catch up" as it slowly scrolls up and down in some areas. Not a deal breaker and not nearly as bad as the crop on Super Mario Bros Deluxe on GBC!

I bought a similar GBA in this color (apparently called Glacier) with this game at launch myself. Having sold both my GBA and this game over the years I've just recently picked up a copy of this game again. Let's check it out!
