I've been overdue to jump in to a few more Super Metroid romhacks, but I was having trouble committing to which ones in particular. That dilemma resolved itself with the recent release of Subversion, a hack that promises new interesting features in terms of both UI and progression, and released alongside a new editor that was used to make it.

This romhack immediately gets interesting - I won't spoil why here in the description, but let's just say there's a few Prime references thrown into the lore, and the first couple of "boss" encounters are full of surprises. The order of progression items is rather out-of-the-ordinary as well, and this first segment of the playthrough ends upon discovering a remarkable new addition.

I'm certainly excited to uncover more of this hack; what I've seen so far seems very high quality.
