The next character I use for All-Star Mode is Pit, and he is a character that does work well with the increased damage against opponents, because his Upperdash Arm can KO opponents at mid to high percentages, and his other best moves are his forward smash for getting KOs. You do take less damage and knockback from your opponent's moves, you do have to watch out for stage hazards, that is the main threat in All-Star Mode.
Pit did debut in 1986, but doesn't appear alongside Link or Samus, Pit appears with other characters from 1986-1990, while the other two appear along with characters from 1984-1986, it might be because Kid Icarus came out in late 1986 for the NES. The 3DS version for Pit's Alt. Trophy uses his red alternate costume, his 3rd costume, and the Wii U version uses his 5th costume, that is his blue alternate costume.
I will go over All-Star Mode and which characters you fight against.
Round 1 (2015-2007): Corrin, Greninja, Lucina, Robin, Dark Pit, Shulk, Bayonetta, Wii Fit Trainer, Rosalina & Luma
Round 2 (2006-2001): Lucario, Lucas, Ike, Zero Suit Samus, Toon Link, Bowser Jr., Roy, Olimar, Villager
Round 3 (1998-1994): Ganondorf, Sheik, Cloud, Jigglypuff, Charizard, Pikachu, Mewtwo, Diddy Kong, Ness
Round 4 (1993-1991): Meta Knight, Falco, Fox, Wario, King Dedede, Kirby, Sonic
Round 5 (1990-1986): Captain Falcon, Yoshi, Dr. Mario, Marth, Mega Man, Ryu, Palutena, Pit
Round 6 (1986-1984): Samus, Zelda, Link, Bowser, Peach, R.O.B., Duck Hunt Duo
Round 7 (1984-1980): Little Mac, Luigi, Donkey Kong, Mario, Pac-Man, Mr. Game & Watch

No stages from the Kid Icarus series appear when fighting Pit and other characters that debuted in 1986-1990 in the Wii U version, it would have been nice to have had Skyworld, but that stage only appears when fighting characters that debuted in 2015-2007, and Palutena's Temple, the only other stage from the Kid Icarus series, doesn't appear as it is one of the largest stages in the game. In the 3DS version, Reset Bomb Forest does appear when fighting Pit and other characters from 1986-1990, and other stages include the Brawl variant for Yoshi's Island, Mute City SNES, which is just called Mute City, Wily Castle, and Suzaku Castle, and in the Wii U version, the stages are Port Town Aero Dive, Woolly World, Yoshi's Island from Melee, Wily Castle, and Suzaku Castle.
Going over Three Sacred Treasures, Pit's Final Smash, the Trophy shows him firing attacks, as the Final Smash has Pit fire various attacks, the 3DS version does have a Trophy for the Three Sacred Treasures, but it is not a Final Smash Trophy, and I have checked, and there is a Trophy for the Lightning Chariot, which does become Pit's Final Smash in Ultimate, which was used by Dark Pit as well in Kid Icarus: Uprising, removing the reason why Dark Pit was made a separate character to Pit in the first place.
