Here's another large tournament with For Fun and Time settings.

Tournament Type:
For Fun - Large (Time)

This time, there were only 33 players in this one, so every first-round match was a one-on-one except for one of them, the bottom-left one. As usual, I let the randomizer pick for me, and it gave me Diddy Kong with what felt like largely unchanged stats, though it did give me two non-default special moves: Instead of the Monkey Flip, he has the Back Flip, where he leaps back, then forward at the opponent but cannot grab; and instead of the Banana Peel, he has the Shocking Banana Peel, which stuns characters that come in contact with it but vanishes after one use.

Quarterfinals
Orbital Gate Assault
vs. Benito (Mario)
It would've been neat if Ashley hadn't fallen into the abyss below as soon as she showed up. Not that it mattered. What DID matter was me misjudging the ground because the damage percentages were in the way and Koing myself in that way.

Semifinals
Pyrosphere
vs. joseph (Captain Falcon) vs. Edgard (Sonic) vs. an unnamed player (Ganondorf)
That Player 4 has no name and is identified by the default male Mii brought up a few questions, and the extreme lag of this match brought up another. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the lopsided matches from the previous video were also very laggy, though they weren't stretched out to about five minutes the way this one was. That Sonic player must have felt it even harder though, as Sonic relies on speed and thus precision and timing to actually do things. By the way, as you'll see, this match wound up picking no winner, with the Finals match of this tournament involving the other three semifinals winners. This is another trait of Tourney Mode that I hadn't brought up but I should: If one or more players disconnect for any reason, a computer player will take their place--but if that computer player wins, the match will be declared winnerless and no replay will be made. How infuriating is this when it happens? For that matter, there won't be a replay when any player disconnects, as you can see for the bottom-left semifinals match.

It was funny to hear a slowed-down Party Ball jingle though.

Finals
Yoshi's Island (Melee)
King Dedede vs. Shulk vs. Luigi
This one went off without a hitch though. I don't know how much point there is watching this one when the winner of my semifinals match was guaranteed not to make it due to not being present. I'd bet the people in this finals match were a bit confused too. Shulk made weird choices with his Monado Arts, but at this point, I always attribute it to lag.
