Here's the sort of thing I'd expect to eventually see with Super Mario Maker had Nintendo itself not gotten to it first. Heck, the Superstar Road stages all look like they could have come from Super Mario Maker, at least if they have all the necessary parts. Maybe less chaotic though.

In any case, there's nothing here that didn't exist before Super Mario Bros. 3, which is why it's odd that this gimmick hasn't happened before: You know how P-Switches can turn Coins into Brick Blocks and vice versa? Well, this stage is a long series of those P-Switches, and most of the solid ground in this stage are actually rows of Coins that you can turn into Brick Blocks. Obviously, if you run out of time, the Brick Blocks will turn back into Coins, and Mario suddenly has literally no ground to stand on. Hence, the idea is to hit the next P-Switch before time runs out, or at least avoid falling into the abyss until you reach the next P-Switch if it isn't possible otherwise.

The first five are relatively straightforward: Run, run, and run some more. The last two require a bounce off a Paratroopa and a wall-kick, respectively, and are much harder, though Mini Mario has the advantage here in both instances, with enemies not noticing Mini Mario's jumping for the sixth P-Switch and his floaty, multi-spinning jumps with the seventh.

There is one question that this stage brings up and never answers though: If all of this ground is made of Coins when Mario enters, how did those Koopa Troopas get there? All of the P-Switches are located on solid rock, so there's the explanation for that.
