I play as Samus in this video for Classic Mode, and in case this happens to be the first Classic Mode video you are watching from me, and despite being the fourth video in my playlist, as Samus is displayed as the fourth character on the roster, I will be going by my list randomizer to decide who my next character will be, so I got Samus as one of my possible characters on the list when I randomized it.
Samus's Classic Mode route is Another Planet, Another Bounty, and each battle is a reference to opponents Samus has fought in the Metroid series, and every match takes place on a stage from the Metroid series.
In Round 1, you fight Wolf on Brinstar, then for Round 2, your opponent is King K. Rool, and you fight him on Brinstar in Omega Form, don't know why Brinstar Depths was not picked for that fight if it is meant to be a reference to Kraid, it could be because Kraid shows up in the background for Brinstar Depths. Round 3 does take place on Brinstar Depths, but it uses the music for Brinstar, so I think the songs should have been swapped, make the match on Brinstar Depths be Round 2, and have Round 3 be on Brinstar in Omega Form, but anyway, you fight six R.O.B.s in a Horde Battle. In Round 4, you fight Giant Ridley on Norfair, likely to reference his boss fight, because Ridley is a very large character, he was even large in his boss fight in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Then in Round 5, you fight Mewtwo, Bowser, and Charizard on Norfair in Omega Form, and items do not appear in that fight. In Round 6, you fight Dark Samus on Frigate Orpheon, referencing Dark Samus's battles in the Metroid Prime games.
Next is the Bonus Stage, and at the end, you fight Master Hand, or if you are playing on Intensity 7.0, Crazy Hand will appear as well, Samus is the first character in roster order that fights Master Hand on Final Destination, or both Master Hand and Crazy Hand if you are playing on a high enough Intensity, so fighting both hands makes things even more trickier.
Then we get the credits, which plays Ending - Metroid, and you unlock the Fighter Spirit for Samus Aran, but there are a lot of different Spirits for her, like her Gravity Suit, Fusion Suit, Dark Suit, and Light Suit, Zero Suit Samus is not included, as she is a separate character to Samus.
As Samus is one of the starting characters on the roster, she has an unlock tree, so that means there are a set of characters that you would unlock by completing Classic Mode with that character or any character from that character's unlock tree, so in Samus's case, the following characters you unlock by completing Classic Mode with her are Inkling, Wii Fit Trainer, Pit, Incineroar, Dark Samus, Cloud, Wario, and Dark Pit, and once every character in Samus's unlock tree are unlocked, it will default back to Mario's unlock tree.
