Here is Route 209, which has really nice music, and there are a bunch of Trainers to fight on this route, most of which are Breeders which tend to use Baby Pokémon, and there is one Trainer on that route wearing a Pikachu costume, and a secret area on Route 209 which requires a certain item.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

At the time I recorded this video, this was right after they patched that glitch where you can open the menu when you are checking your boxes. I have Rock Smash on Kricketune and Thief on Murkrow, as I was hoping to put that glitch to great use, but they ended up patching that.
As with Route 209, you can get a Good Rod from the Fisherman, and there are a bunch of Trainers you can fight there, and there are some new encounters you can get on Route 209, this is the first route where you can find wild Staravia, but the chances are you will have already trained up a Starly way back on Route 201 and evolved it then, but it's there if want to catch one, and it does have Intimidate for its Ability, which is one good thing.
For the new encounters, you can find Mime Jr. in Brilliant Diamond, or Bonsly in Shining Pearl, there are not really version exclusives, as there is a way to get the other in the opposite version. Both need to learn Mimic to evolve, but Mime Jr. has it very rough, it does not get Mimic until Level 32, so it will start to fall behind the rest of the team until then, and you can find wild Mr. Mime later on in the game, it is a decent Psychic/Fairy-type, but the fact it doesn't get Mimic until later on really hurts Mime Jr., but the nice thing is Mr. Mime does have good Speed and can set up Reflect and Light Screen, and it has good Special Attack to make use of.
Bonsly will have Mimic right when you catch it, so you can evolve it into Sudowoodo in one level, and once you get access to the Move Relearner, you can reteach Wood Hammer, Stone Edge, and Hammer Arm onto it, giving you a very strong Rock-type for that point in the game. I recommend getting a Bonsly with Rock Head so that it will not take recoil damage from Wood Hammer, and another nice thing is Sudowoodo can learn Head Smash through level up, this is a solid Rock-type option if you want to use one on your team. Both Mime Jr. and Bonsly are more common in the morning, otherwise they are a rare chance to find.
The rare encounter for this route is Chansey, I would recommend catching one from there instead of using the Happiny that you hatch from your Egg if you want to use one. Chansey has a lot of HP and Special Defense, making it an excellent Special wall, and when it evolves into Blissey through Friendship, it is one of the best Special tanks in the game. If you get a Chansey with Serene Grace, it can make great use of moves like Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, Psychic, and many other moves, and it can learn Soft-Boiled through level up, so it's a solid choice if you want a Special wall, I personally would say it's better in competitive battling than in single player, but the removal of Eviolite does kind of hinder Chansey's usability.
With the Good Rod, you can get Goldeen on Route 209, which isn't that great, Gyarados outclasses it entirely, even when you evolve Goldeen into Seaking. While it does get nice moves like Waterfall and Megahorn, it does face competition with many other Water-types, so I do not recommend Goldeen. You can go to past areas to find Pokémon like Barboach or Finneon with the Good Rod, I will go over them eventually.
There is the Hallowed Tower on Route 209, which you can place the Odd Keystone you get from a Black Belt on Route 208, you have to go into the Grand Underground and talk to 32 unique NPCs, and after you have done it, you can encounter a Pokémon called Spiritomb, it is a Ghost/Dark-type Pokémon formed by 108 spirits, it even has base 108 Defense and Special Defense, and it is number 108 in the Sinnoh Dex. Spiritomb does come with Nasty Plot and Hex when caught, and it can learn Shadow Ball and Dark Pulse through level up, and it can learn Psychic through TM, it's a solid Pokémon to use if you want to go out of your way to get it, and it does come at Level 25, meaning it is ready to battle once you get it.
For other items, you can get the TM for Steel Wing, which you can teach to Staravia or Murkrow if you are using them to give them a way to fight Rock-type Pokémon, and when you enter Solaceon Town, there is the Nursery, where you can put Pokémon in to obtain Eggs from the female of that species, and if you put two Pokémon of the same species, and if one of them has a spare moveslot, they can learn Egg Moves from the other Pokémon if they have them. There is the Pokémon News Press where the editor will request you to show him a Pokémon for that day, and he will give you some Poké Balls of different kinds if you show him that Pokémon.
