I go around Hearthome City and see what there is, like the Pokémon Fan Club, a place where I can make Poffins from Berries, and Amity Square, where I can walk around with my Pokémon, but only certain Pokémon can be walked with there.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

When you arrive at Hearthome City, there are some things to check out. Next to the Pokémon Center is Bebe's house, and she doesn't give you a free Eevee until the aftergame, in Platinum, she did give you an Eevee if you talked to her.
Talk to the Chairman of the Pokémon Fan Club, and he will give you a Poffin Case, which you will need to store your Poffins inside, and in another house, you can get a Shell Bell on the 2nd floor, which is a helpful item that restores a little bit of the Pokémon's HP by 1/16th of the damage they deal.
The main thing I wanted to show off is Amity Square, and I like how they kept the Black Belt who mentions how it is discrimination towards his Gyarados and Steelix, you can only walk with certain Pokémon species. The following Pokémon that can walk with you in Amity Square are Pikachu, Clefairy, Jigglypuff, Psyduck, Torchic, Shroomish, Skitty, Pachirisu, Drifloon, Buneary, and Happiny. You can also walk with the Sinnoh Starter Pokémon, and new to this game, Eevee and all of its evolved forms.
If you have all six Pokémon that meet the requirements, they will be in different parts of the park, and you can interact with them to have them follow you, and you can walk with any Pokémon outside of Amity Square after your first visit. There are some items you can pick up there, like TMs for Volt Switch and Attract, an Amulet Coin, and a Dread Plate. You can make Poffins even inside Amity Square, your Pokémon will be present while making Poffins, and they do react based on how you do. Each Pokémon has a Condition, they tend to prefer a certain type of Poffin, and their Sheen goes up when they eat the Poffin, and if their Sheen is at its maximum of 12, that Pokémon can no longer eat Poffins, this does feel like a step back to how Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire handled Pokéblocks, because in that game, you were able to feed as many Pokéblocks to your Pokémon as possible.
Another thing about Hearthome City is that you cannot challenge the Gym, yet for some reason, Barry already took on that Gym, I don't know how the heck he got his badge from Hearthome City, when we can't even take on the Gym until way later in the game. You do encounter Barry before leaving Hearthome City, and he has some new team members, I will go over their moves.
Starly: Quick Attack, Double Team, Endeavor, Pluck
Roselia: Growth, Stun Spore, Leech Seed, Magical Leaf
Ponyta: Tackle, Growl, Flame Charge, Agility
Prinplup: Metal Claw, Bubble Beam, Stealth Rock, Grass Knot

Barry's starter Pokémon has evolved, and his team is different based on your starter, that is his team if you chose Chimchar, he would have a Buizel instead of Prinplup if you picked a different starter, I will go over their moves.
Buizel: Tail Whip, Quick Attack, Water Gun, Bite (Only has that if you chose Turtwig or Piplup)
Grotle: Absorb, Razor Leaf, Curse, Stealth Rock (If you chose Piplup)
Monferno: Mach Punch, Leer, Flame Wheel, Stealth Rock (If you chose Turtwig)

Barry's starter Pokémon knows Stealth Rock, but he shouldn't be too difficult if you have the right counters to his Pokémon, and for some strange reason, his Starly isn't even evolved into Staravia, which was the one thing his fight in Platinum did right.
I remember in Platinum where Barry gave you advice on avoiding enemy attacks and always make sure your attacks hit, his Staravia pulls off that exact strategy by using Double Team to boost its evasiveness, decreasing the chances of your attacks hitting, and it had Aerial Ace, a move that never misses, or it might have had Wing Attack when you battled him there in Platinum, it did have Aerial Ace when you fight him later on.
One thing I want to go over, at the time I recorded this video, this was before the glitch where you can clone your Pokémon got patched, if you pressed certain buttons, it was ZL, ZR, and A, you could open your menu in the items selection, and then if you went into your Boxes, you could open the menu there, and move Pokémon to an empty slot, and it was an excellent way to have multiple TMs, evolution stones, and even rarer items like Max Revive, PP Max, Master Ball, and many others, so I was planning to make use of that to give my temporary team members useful moves, but that plan is gone because they fixed that glitch. I don't like glitches myself, but I was hoping to put that to great use in this playthrough, because I hate how they made TMs one use, because I appreciated TMs being infinite use, and this is a huge step back, and I hate it when games step back from massive improvements in the series.
