Before going over this battle, I recently found out that Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has announced their very first official tier list, this game has been out for 4 years, and right now they announce it, I can understand because during the 3 years there was DLC updates, and this game was constantly getting updates, and if a tier list was included early, then the updates would make it less relevant.
I use Diddy Kong in this battle, and my opponent uses Zombie, and for their placements, Steve is placed 1st on the tier list due to his mining mechanics and stage control, but a character is not without downsides, Steve doesn't have the best aerial mobility and he doesn't have the best range in attacks, I guess there are different kinds of players out there, and Steve's placing might have to do with his high placement in tournaments. With Diddy Kong, he was a top tier character through the history of Smash Bros., and while he is a top tier character, he is not at the highest like he was in Super Smash Bros. 4, he is ranked 12th on the tier list.
We get New Donk City Hall for the stage, and with Jump Up, Super Star! playing, what happens when that song plays is that if you interact with the band, they will add instruments or vocals to the song, which is a good concept for a stage to affect the music.
