Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Online Tourney: Tekken Tourney
0The next Online Tourney is a tie-in with the most recent DLC update for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and with Kazuya as the next DLC character, this is Tekken Tourney. Characters that don't use weapons for their standard attacks can be used, so there are a good selection of characters that don't use weapons.
Here are the following characters that can be selected for this Tourney:
Mario, Donkey Kong, Yoshi, Kirby, Fox, Pikachu, Luigi, Captain Falcon, Jigglypuff, Bowser, Sheik, Zelda, Dr. Mario, Pichu, Falco, Mewtwo, Wario, Pokémon Trainer, Diddy Kong, Sonic, Lucario, Wolf, Wii Fit Trainer, Little Mac, Greninja, Pac-Man, Ryu, Ken, Ridley, King K. Rool, Incineroar, Piranha Plant, Banjo & Kazooie, Terry, Min Min, Kazuya, Mii Brawler
Even if it did say that characters that don't use weapons for their standard attacks can be used, characters like Fox and Falco can be used, but they use their Blasters for their special moves, and Olimar can't be used, unless Pikmin are considered weapons.
As for the rules for this Online Tourney, it is time battle that lasts for 2 minutes and 30 seconds, Items are set to Medium, Final Smash Meter is turned on, and you earn a Spirit for participating and based on where you place in this tournament.
There was a good selection of characters for this one, so I chose random, and I got Luigi for this one, and I saw there wasn't many character variety from the players, one bracket had two players using Donkey Kong, both brackets had one player that used Bowser, my starting bracket had Sonic and Pichu, while the other had the one player using Kazuya.
The stages we got for this one were Balloon Fight and Green Greens, and I like the Mach Rider theme that I got for my battle, because I remember when that song played on Big Blue back in Melee, and I was surprised about the song, and when I checked Sound Test, it was the Mach Rider theme, so I did like how they put songs from NES games into Melee, and there was a Trophy of Mach Rider in Melee, so I could see why.
