The wetlands of Botswana's Okavango Delta might seem a world away from the deserts of Helmand but they have proved an ideal training ground for a group of Territorial Army soldiers. The Military Stabilisation Support Group, the MSSG's reserve element, has just returned from a two-week deployment to the southern African republic. Working alongside civilians from the Government's Stabilisation Unit, they practised key skills, which are becoming increasingly important in the wake of the SDSR.
