First boss from the Character Episodes! Technically this can be done as early as before fighting against Aska but I decided to complete Arc 1 and return to the Prime Dimension before tackling him. The rest of the CE bosses, on the other hand, will be done as soon as they're available.

Ivar is very similar to Julius (surprising, I know): he's weak to Wind, has no Iron Stance, can counter from a single hit and he likes guarding instead of sidestepping. It's a simple fight and yet, this was more annoying than it had any right to be!
My luck with the first Dragon Swarm was simply awful as Ivar usually defended or triggered a first hit counter instead. If I managed to get past it, the next big issue is that using Demonic Wrath and Swallow Fury right after a Beast is just asking Ivar to be on knockdown cooldown, so some hit would randomly miss, Ivar would drop like a rock and I would have to try again.

Since Ivar is pushed against the corner, the delayed aerial Tiger Blade makes Gaius land next to him rather in front of him so I need to correct my position with a step before continuing. Other than that, the combo is fairly straightforward although I really like the more frantic pace after the weakness reset, just quickly adding all elements before going for the finisher.
