Taylor Swift’s “Lover” - 2019 Compact Disc Review
This is a review of the 2019 Compact Disc of Taylor Swift’s seventh studio album, “Lover.” This is Taylor Swift’s first album with Republic Records, a division of UMG Recordings Inc., after fulfilling her contract with independent record label Big Machine Records. This, I think, is Taylor Swift’s second-best album after the re-recording of Taylor Swift’s 2012 album, “Red” and her 2023 re-recording of her 2010 studio album, “Speak Now.” Now, this CD includes great tracks, which include, but are not limited to, “Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince,” which is listed as Track 7 on the disc and “You Need to Calm Down,” which is listed as Track 14 on the disc. I think the latter is probably the best track on the entire album because of the message it delivers. The song is an anthem for the LGBTQIA+ community and is pretty much the only song I listen to on my commute. I mean, you could listen to songs like “Look What You Made Me Do,” and “Shake It Off” any old day. This is probably I think the best album of 2019 by Republic Records, after the Jonas Brothers’ “Happiness Begins.” I hope you enjoy the show and enjoy this album in all its glory. NOTE: I rented this from my local library, this is not my copy. 💿 🌈🇺🇸👑🤴💔
