This is a review of the 2006 DVD of the Weinstein Company’s “Lassie.” This film was a co-production between Classic Media and The Isle of Man Film Commission. As you may not know, the Isle of Man is located between the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom, specifically Wales. The film features great talents in actors such as Peter O’Toole and Jenna Redgrave. This SVD was distributed by the Weinstein Company and Classic Media, under exclusive license to Genius Entertainment, who distributed other Weinstein Films and Classic Media and Sesame Workshop products. This is probably the best film for kids and adults from 2005, but I think there are also other great films for children and adults from 2005 such as “Chicken Little” from Walt Disney Pictures and “Madagascar” from DreamWorks Animation.
