With Unity's Announcement recently, it made a huge impact in the Indie Game Industry. Everyone shared feedbacks and disappointment and most are agreeing to migrate to other Game Engines.

I decided to learn Godot while transferring all my Graphic Assets from Unity. It's a rough transition from C# to GDScript but so far I was able to learn a few.

That said, I am still waiting for news about Unity because it's really ashame that I have to abandon this 3 year project I made and doing most of the codes from scratch in Godot. Back then I also thought about transferring to Godot but the same reason why I remained in Unity is because I made tons of knowledge and progress already, but the announcement made me want to learn Godot to secure my project in the near future. I want to keep my 3 year progress I made in Unity but we don't know if Unity will announce another one. Now I'm still in the middle of the situation where I want to throw my project out of the window, but I do feel like wanting to learn Godot.

Funny enough both Former Unity Developers and Godot Community refer to us as "Unity Refugees", but at the same time Godot Community welcomed Unity Developers. #2danimation #unity #godotengine
