Capturing the flag - Volcanoids Early Access Gameplay episode 14
Today me and the crew return to Volcanoids, a game where you explore a volcanic island and fight a one man war against an endless army of robotic soldiers known as Cogs, with your only solace and support taking the form of a customizable, semi mobile, base known as a drillshiip. To further complicate matters all of this also happens in the shadow of an active volcano that erupts like clockwork with enough fire and ash to wipe clean the island of all who trespass upon the land, be them men or machine. In this episode, with my drillship, known as the Auger, finally repaired and fully outfitted I once again assault the Cog flagship. This time however I gain the tactical advantage of the high ground, physically at least if not morally, and begin a one person assault on the most advanced drillship I've ever seen. Afterwards, I return to the Harbor to repair what damage occurred to the Auger as well as upgrade the drillship with the parts that I salvaged from the raid. From there I then entered what I believe to be the heart of the volcano, even if it's one of the furthest points from the center of the island to scout out the third, and hopefully final, laser drill. Enjoy.
