The battle of quantity versus quality - Starpoint Gemini Warlords episode 20
Today me and the crew return to Starpoint Gemini Warlords, a game where you not only command a starship to do starship things, but can also build fleets of AI controlled ships to do everything from aiding you in your battles, to even fighting your battles for you. In this episode, with having upgraded my ship with the best technology I can get my grubby little mittens on, as well as building the best ships that I can for the fleet, I finally take on the fight to destroy the massive planet killing super weapon known as the Proxima, as well as take out the people who stole it. This involves remotely triggering one of the Proxima's support systems to cause it to jump into a trap that we've prepared. No plan survives execution however, and when I find out that I not only sent most of my fleet to the wrong place, as well as get several key ships destroyed on a side quest that I accidentally stumbled into, I need to spend some time to regroup and repair the fleet. This may or may not give our enemies time to build defenses around the Proxima, but, in true final titanic battle fashion, it's not a questions of who has the biggest gun, but also who has the most guns, even if some of those guns are owned by a powerful third party organization that I've never heard of before in the entirety of the game. Things don't end here however as once the Proxima has been dealt with we receive news that something strange is going on at the literal Starpoint of Gemini. Enjoy.
