The Comic Book Origins Of Weird West
Weird West is a fantastic game. It respects the player by paying off all of their choices as the five-part story unfolds, and it offers tons of options for approaching every situation. While the immersive sim elements are excellent, there’s another aspect of the game’s design that really sticks out for us: its comic book influence. That’s what this video is all about.
That influence applies to both the look and feel of the game. Comic drawing techniques and storytelling structures help make Weird West something special, and we even get into the history of the comic that inspired the genre that this game rests upon. Even better, we do all of that with no spoilers!
Weird West is out now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. Game Pass subscribers on Xbox and PC can hop right in, since the game launched on the service.
