The Portal 3 That Isn't Portal: Quantum Conundrum
63Portal and Portal 2 are classic puzzle games; no doubt about it. Sadly, we never got a third game to round out the trilogy, so fans have resorted to community projects and mods for more. But in our opinion there’s one game that fills the void better than any other.
That game is Quantum Conundrum, a puzzle game that trades blue and orange portals for four very different dimensions: fluffy, heavy, slow, and reverse gravity. Beyond color-coded puzzle design, the indie game also shares a key developer: Kim Swift. Swift’s team designed a puzzle game that feels like a spiritual successor thanks to its setting, humor, and mechanics.
If you want to play either of the Portal games or Quantum Conundrum, you have lots of options. Steam is the easiest way to play them all on PC, and the Nintendo Switch just got Portal: Companion Collection.
