Delyna! I had seen her before! During my time exploring the dungeon in Tel Fyr I came across an imprisoned woman. I hurried to where she was locked up and freed her. She gave her thanks and gave me an amulet to show to her father. At the time I had been fatigued so I misunderstood her and brought the amulet to her grandfather. He was thankful to know that his granddaughter was safe but he told me to seek out the father.

I found the cave he was hidden in and took down all his allies until I reached Arethan. Indeed he was mad. The potential loss of a child is enough to drive anyone mad with grief, anger, or hysteria. From what it sounded like he had already lost someone to the Telvanni. This is why I hold very little respect for those mages. Just because they have power doesn't mean they can go around doing anything or everything to the weak. Power like that should be used to protect or help others in need.

Then again, I'm in no position to be saying things like that. I showed him the amulet and he calmed down a bit. He was still crazy but I imagine he'll recover soon. Athyn told me to speak with the other council members for backing. Again, despite being Hortator wasn't enough to convince these members that I am one of them. They would have me do odd jobs such as collecting taxes from other towns or clearing a haunted mansion of blighted enemies because of an ash statue.

Hlaren then sent me on an odd quest. He remembers of a woman who was disgraced. It would seem that this was an old love for him and he asked me to seek out this woman. Every man has his moment where he wants to find romance. Perhaps he is lonely, or maybe he wishes to rekindle a relationship that he messed up in. I too remember being in love once. I was a little boy my father took me to Anvil to help him with work while he was part of the Imperial Legion. It was mostly grunt work, moving boxes around, or sending messages to other soldiers to report at the offices. I met a girl who was from Hammerfell. We would play by the water and pick up sticks to fight each other with, pretending to be competitors in the Arena.

The more I spent time with her, the more my heart grew for her. I did silly gestures such as bringing her flowers or catching amphibians for her. She could not stay for long as I recall her father was some sort of bureaucrat for Hammerfell. We had a tearful parting, promising each other that one day we would meet again. I wanted to tell her how I felt but I lacked the courage to do so. The years would pass and over time I slowly forgot her. I wonder how she's doing... Did she grow up to be a warrior? Perhaps she is married and is with children now? Worst yet, maybe he passed away in this cruel world we live in. I'll never know.
