The stronghold will take roughly a month to finish. This includes setting up the base, putting in guards, and perhaps something else. In the meantime, I am to find more Hlaalu members who have slandered against the Redoran name. Nothing truly makes me angry except when someone runs their mouth and doesn't get slapped for it. Such was the case for Ondres. He ran his mouth and when I confronted him, he demanded a duel. Since he didn't set any rules I pulled out my axe and cleaved him.
He then retracted his statements and that was that. My return to Athyn was short as he had me take out some smugglers nearby. I had to assume they were either independent or had ties with Hlaalu. There are smugglers all over Vvardenfell, why target these guys? Unfortunately, I am not one to sit and question the legitimacy of these assignments. I only carry them out and it is always a treat to clear out a smuggler's den.
They smuggle fine alcohol, weapons, and gold, free for the taking. I drank too much and laid down to rest, only to find myself stronger the following day. With no interruptions from the Dark Brotherhood. Still, I've yet to understand who put out that hit on me. Taking everything into consideration I was only a member of certain guilds with very little renown. I turned in my task and spoke with Galsa who then sent me to check on the progress regarding the stronghold. It's not much, but I am excited.
Athyn tells me that Arethan has gone mad and gone from being someone of respect to being a pitiful thug. If I wanted more information I should speak with his father in Ebonhart. While I do have intentions to help, I have grown sick of my lack of pay. I paid for my own stronghold, I gave my time to helping these "Warriors" who cry when someone speaks ill of them. I've had enough. I went to the Redoran canton in Vivec and snuck my way into the Reodran vault and took many precious gems and gold.
That should satisfy for now. If need be I'll return to steal the weapons and pawn them off. For now I hurried to Ebonhart where I spoke with Llerar who told me that the reasoning behind his son's madness was because his daughter was kidnapped. She is being held in Tel Fyr... that damned Dunmer. I knew the location so I ran as quickly as I could only to encounter a talking mudcrab! I was astonished! Whats more was that this mudcrab was a vendor as well! I must remember his location in case I have need to sell something...
