I wanted to learn the arcane arts better so I stopped by the Mages Guild for a bit of training. Caius tells me we need an informant from the ashlanders. Thankfully there is one in Ald'ruhn. I am to go there and learn of their customs to better communicate with the ashlanders for they have information regarding the Nerevarine prophecies.
I met with this informant and there were customs regarding duels, gift-giving, and how to articulate myself when conversing with the ashlanders. I was then asked to make my way towards one of the camps on the northern end of Vvardenfell before hitting the islands. When I arrived, it was true what they say, they do not like outlanders in every sense. I spoke with the Ashkhan who is a warrior or guardian of the tribe. After a gift of gold, he then sent me to speak with the wise woman who can only be described as something of an oracle or a guide. She gives counsel to those seeking information regarding the tribe or stories of Vvardenfell.
They tested me and had me retrieve a bow that belonged to the Ashkhan's father to see if I was strong enough to meet the prophecies. A trip to the burial grounds later and I make it back with the bow. The wise woman thought that I could be Nerevarine but wasn't sure herself. She asked me to seek out a book and I returned to Caius with the results of this journey.
Caius thinks I could very well be Nerevarine but I have my doubts. Prophecy or not, this feels like I'm just being molded into a position to secure the Empire's position here in Vvardenfell. Since the outbreak of the blight and corpus disease, the Empire quarantined Vvardenfell since they have a strong presence in Morrowind, the mainland. All these thoughts and I didn't pay attention to what Caius told me so I responded with "I'm more than ready".
He told me to exercise caution and not be overconfident be he believes I'm ready to. Looks like I'm going to invade a Sixth House base and destroy whatever danger lurks in there. I have trained myself well since arriving in Vvardenfell. while magic still proves to be a major weakness of mine I still feel like I can take on anything!
