The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion | Part 25 | Caught in the Hunt
The Oblivion Gates are opening, and pouring forth are the Devilish Daedra of Mehrunes Dagon. Destroy the Daedra, and save the continent of Tamriel, as well as all of Mundus!
One of my favorite games ever made.
Oblivion came out in 2006 on PC, PS3, and XBox 360. Made by Bethesda Softworks.

I left Henantier's house to make my way to The Lonely Suitor's Lodge. The night was dark, dreary, red, filled with lightning, and just overall unpleasant! What on Mundus can cause THIS? In fear of fire raining from the sky, I stumbled cautiously to the Inn and Bar.
The orc inside, Kurdan gro-Dragol, was not forthcoming with information and it took several bribes to get him to come forth and say what had happened to Aleron Loche, and he had the nerve to still not tell me. I was sent to Fort Grief, out in Niben Bay, to retrieve his ancestor's lost axe in exchange for information.
I found Aleron Loche there, and also that I had been tricked. It turns out this is all part of Kurdan gro-Dragol's twisted game of hunting man, myr and beast-man. I was told how to get the key to get myself and Aleron out, and quickly set off.
It didn't take long to slay all the hunters in my way. The last one was real trouble. A big orc, with a big weapon, and even bigger muscles walloped me good. I retrieved the key from his corpse and absconded to the dungeon entrance. I was disturbed to see Kurdan had murdered Aleron. Confronting him revealed that only he had the key off of this island, and that he could not let me leave.
Kurdan and his surprise archer Khajiit, Rha'jhera the Keeneye, were a mess to deal with, but after Rha'jera was dead, I had no issues. Turns out Kurdan gro-Dragol had no way of attacking me from a distance! I just perched myself out of his reach and launched fireballs at him, to great success. He shouted and cursed me, but could not hurt me. I looted the key from his corpse, and went back to the mainland to deliver the bad news.
Upon finding Ursanne Loche I had to tell her the awful news of her husband, that he had passed in Kurdan's sick game. She gave me some gold and, what I assume, is her favorite book, "Biography of the Wolfe Queen". An excellent manual of speechcraft. Ursanne requested to be alone, so I departed from her home and back to the streets, a somber feeling in the air.
On to my next quest...
