The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion | Part 44 | The Way to Boethia
The Oblivion Gates are opening, and pouring forth are the Devilish Daedra of Mehrunes Dagon. Destroy the Daedra, and save the continent of Tamriel, as well as all of Mundus!
One of my favorite games ever made.
Oblivion came out in 2006 on PC, PS3, and XBox 360. Made by Bethesda Softworks.

Today I decided to explore the mountain ranges to the east of Cyrodiil. There is much hidden and unexplored out in that direction, so it shall be quite profitable.
I tried finding a route to the side of the mountains for a while, but I had no luck. Worse yet, I then fell down towards an old mine, which I aptly dubbed "Doomed Mine", as it reeked of traps and bandits. Of which, there was one Bandit outside with an enchanted and dangerous bow, but they were quite spongy and easy to defeat. I tried to climb the mountain further, to no avail, and then just followed the ridge south, before make my way back to try again.
Trying to cross the mountains proved to be impossible, they are far too steep and I am far too ill equipped to climb mountains. I did find a fort out that way, though. Fort Scinia. I'll have to make my way back here to loot it one day.
I ventured back down the mountains and simply gave in to the forces of the world at hand, and just followed the path around. Maybe I'll find more that way.
Along the way, I discovered the ruins of Fort Facian. A place of note, it smelled of the undead. I wish to return and explore here at some point in the future. I view it would assist me in my necromancy. I was jumped by a bear at the entrance to the Fort and averted my course further to the east.
I found a Bandit encampment, Sercen Camp, near the Ayleid ruins of Hame. Hame seems ancient and not yet plundered, but has a dark aura about it. The same kind of aura as I felt from Meridia's quest and the shrine at Dark Fissure cave. Necromancy seemed likely.
I finally stumbled onto what seemed like a poorly made path up into the mountains! My goal at last. Further up this path I battled an Ogre, and then even further I found the Shrine of Boethia.
Boethia is a Daedric Prince, the God of lots of things. Like lies and deceit, murder plots, assassination, treason, and the overthrowing of authority in a way that is just plain wrong. But Boethia's artifacts are something else, all powerful, and all able to be held by mortal hands. Time to worship another Daedra.
