Oblivion on the Xbox 360 was the first Elder Scrolls game I played, and I remember that I had played 40 hours into the game, but had only completed a couple story quests. I got so caught up exploring, I didn't even further the story.

I got this early in owning an Xbox 360, and while the graphics might not look the best today, I thought this game was beautiful, even on the standard definition television I was using to play it on. It was part of that next-gen jump from playing PS2, Xbox, and Gamecube games to playing Xbox 360 games with brand new graphics. I guess you just had to be there. I still think this is a beautiful game from an art direction standpoint. I can see it from the eyes of when I first saw it, and from my modern eyes.

The 360 version runs decently, but definitely has technical/visual glitches. It doesn't run perfectly by any means, but for millions of other, and myself, this was how we experienced The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
