*Warning! - I may rant on about the story in the description so be aware there might be spoilers there if you read through it.*

The Last Promise was created by Blazer and is a hack for Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword. This hack is a full length adventure filled with danger, some new items & classes as well as music, and a very well balanced difficulty curve.

So it begins.

The final map theme here and well as the theme for the final boss are both pretty awesome. A good thing because the final boss will not go down without one hell of a fight.

The boss packs Raikiri, a weapon with no attack power, but the final boss has the stats to make that a non threat.

Speaking of its stats, they are scary freaking high. Its speed deserves special mention though. It's so high that Kelik is the only person on your team that will NOT get doubled by the boss, and even then only if Kelik wields Arectaris. This boss also has a high enough skill that it will be getting at least a 6% crit chance against anyone with 30 luck.

What this basically means is your playing a game of chance anytime you have to attack or the boss attacks anyone without the Iron Rune.

Now if you think you can just have the one with the Iron Rune do all the work, you're wrong. There is a second problem here.

You know how Anakin in his promoted class gets to regen 20% of his max HP at the start of every player phase?

Yes, the final boss has that exact same damned ability. It's going to be getting back 24 HP everytime the enemy phase begins so you have to toss all of your best fighters at the final boss and pray to hell you connect with enough attacks to make progress.

...Oh yes the boss has 100 avoid, have fun! Thank god it doesn't move eh?

Final thing unique to it is that everyone in your army gets a unique conversation with the final boss, hence the reason I have Haas attack with a Bloody Rifle, even when he wasn't going to hit. Pretty nice touch I have to say given who this person is and the reasoning for why this fight is occuring in the first place.

First thing's first, arrange everyone outside of the boss's range. Raikiri has a 1-2 range so be aware of that.

When ready, begin the attack and just pray pray pray. Using anyone very well skilled in spear usage along with Sylmeria gives you the best chance possible of hitting the final boss.

When all of your attackers have used their turns, use a healer with Fortify to heal everyone up. Anakin can give the healer another turn if another usage of Fortify is required to bring everyone up to full, a task that you will need to do if someone gets criticaled.

Eventually, final boss goes down and you breathe a sigh of relief.

I have to say this run at the final boss went amazingly well. Tons of attacks hit in the first round, putting a major dent in the final boss's HP. Of course the first person to be criticaled by it is the one with the highest luck of the close range fighters. Doubly so when said person is Rex, haha. Thank god his defense is capped because he can survive a crit and a normal hit at full HP.

Second round...did not go quite as well, but progress was still made.

Round three...well, I was planning to set it up so Rex could get the final blow. Figured I'd let Captain Badass get one final boss kill by impalement to close out the main game walkthrough.

Of course, Kelik did something equally awesome and I couldn't argue with how he ended the fight.
