The Lego Disney 100 Villain Icons Set! (Lets Find Out Why This Set Is Hard To Get!)
Today, we build and review the Lego Disney Villains Icons set #43227, with 1,540 pieces. This set is another great addition to the currently Disney 100 promotion that is happening at Lego. I start this video off by discussing how difficult this set has been to pinpoint as it it out of stock online, I was able to monitor Target, and attempt to order to pick up, and that is how I actually secured the set. What draws me in with the set is the simplicity and nostalgia of the set. Its a book, with VHS tapes among an apple, clock, and a playing card. The minifigures are exclusive to this set, they are Gaston, Evil Queen, Maleficent, and Jafar. Unboxing the set we find 13 steps of building bags, a decent book, and two small sticker sheets. The build is broken into 4 chunks. The first chunk is 3 steps (Bags 1-3), and make the Evil Queen and you build the poison apple, the clock, and the playing card. The second chunk is 4 steps (Bags 4-7), and make Jafar and Gaston and you build the book of Beauty and the Beast and the VHS of Aladdin. The third chunk is 3 steps (Bags 8-10), and make Maleficent and you build the VHS of Sleeping Beauty. Finally, you build chunk 4 and it is 3 steps (Bags 11-13) and you build the VHS tape of The Little Mermaid. Overall it was a fun build and gave a trip down memory lane. I did realize while building the set, that it may have four villain minifigures, it does give notice to three other villains. These villains are Captain Hook from Peter Pan with the clock, Ursula on the Little Mermaid, and the Queen of Hearts from Alice In Wonderland on the playing card. The B.A.T. Score did rate the set a 75, it would have been an 80 if availability wasn’t such an issue with this set. But between the score and my personal opinion this set is a most build for anybody craving a nostalgia driven build that salutes the 90’s of Disney. One last note the set is currently on sale for $130 US if you can get your hands on it. If you enjoyed the video, please Like, Share, and Subscribe! Thank you for watching!
