Lego Ideas #049 Disney Hocus Pocus Cottage! (Is This Set A Bunch Of Hocus Pocus? Lets Find Out!)
Today, we are building the Lego Ideas #049 Disney Hocus Pocus: The Sanderson Sisters’ Cottage set #21341, with 2,316 pieces. This set draws me in as I am a big fan of the original Hocus Pocus from 1993. I found this movie a few years back, and has become a staple to watch it every Halloween. As for the set, I believe it has the incredible opportunity to really tie in the old and haunted middle portion of my Lego city. In the unboxing we find fifteen building steps of Lego, one sticker sheet, a bag of large plates, and a decent sized book. Only three of the building steps had additional bags to the step. The build did go very easily, and getting it to properly integrate onto MILS was rather easy. In the review we start off at the gate, I do believe the only intention of the gate was to have a place to store the 6 incredible minifigs we get in the set. These are Max, Danny, Allison, Winifred, Sarah, and Mary. Onto of these figures that display on the gate, we also have Binx the cat, and the tombstones of the cats sister Emily, William Sanderson, and an unknown grave. The overall exterior detail of the cottage is nice. Internally we have a very tight packed space off the cottage. Now the build is set in movie two mode where it is a museum with gift shop. We can tell because there is gift shop in the cottage as well as certain parts of the cottage is on display such as book. The fireplace does come off from the cottage allowing more access to these parts of the cottage. On the terms of access a portion of the wall by the gift shop does open, as well as the back of the cottage is on doors allowing us inside. The roof does swivel on a technic based mechanism, but unfortunately part of the set and the chimney does have to be removed for one side of the roof to open, the other side opens easily. On the terms of the chimney, there is a water wheel that if spun does move pink smoke up and down from the chimney. Overall the set scored low, but I still highly recommend it. I believe it scored low because the availability at the time of filming was low. If you enjoyed the video, please Like, Share, and Subscribe! Thank you for watching!
