The 2015 Lego Star Wars Death Star Final Duel! (Today, We Find Out What "Certified Used" Means!)
In today video we are taking a look at Bricks and Minifigs “Certified” program. To do this, we are building the 2015 Lego Star Wars Death Star Final Duel set #75093, with 724 pieces. Another mention is to compare this set with the new May 2023 Emperors Throne Room Diorama set. Clearly they are two different types of sets, but during the wait for the Throne Room, people were often seen comparing the sets. So now it my turn to take a look, and give my thoughts on the two together. In the unboxing we find some interesting details. Looking at the box we find that its never been broken down for storage. So this made me even more curious to get inside and see what we were dealing with. We did find evidence that the box was previously opened. Once inside we find bags 2 through 6 perfectly sealed and intact. But bag 1 was in a resealable bag. Bricks and Minifigs did a professional job in bagging the contents of bag one to keep the minifigs protected. The pieces in bag 1 seemed never used as well. This made me curious, but I just decided to go into building then research the issue. After the time lapse we go into the review. First I wanted to point out the minifigs that come with this set Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, and two Royal Guards. Next up I show the play function of the set, the opening doors, that sliding walkway, the levered tile on the walkway, the break away stairs, the drop floor, and the fling hidden lightsaber. Other key things to note is the amount of space you have to play and interact with the set. We go into a minifigs comparison segment. On all minifigs we find different print elements. Palpatine does have a different hood element. The lightsabers are unique in the old the hilt was dull but the blade was shiny, and on the new the hilt is bright, but the blade is dull. Luke does clearly have an upgraded hair piece as we already knew. Both sets are unique in their own ways. And I enjoyed the 2015 Death Star Final Duel.
