The Lego Technic Firefighter Aircraft!! (Now, Let's Really Test My New Found Patience For Technic!)
In todays video we hang a plane! But before we get to that point we have to introduce todays build and review. The Lego Technic Firefighter Aircraft set #42152, with 1,134 pieces. I start this video off saying basically I got this build for no reason other then to try something new. I have been enjoying Technic more and more, and I think its time to push things to see if I’m really coming around on the subject. We perform our unboxing to find 4 building steps, about 10 stickers, and a decent instruction manual. Of the four steps bags one through three have an extra bag of pins and pieces each, but four has one big bag and 3 little bags extra. Building this set I got carried away in it. I started at step one, but wanted to see some of the colored pieces go on, so I did step two. But after step two, I wanted to see some of the functions come together, and let me on to step three. After step three I basically just said “Full Send” and went onto bag four to finish the build. In total I did it over 3.5 hours only stopping to reset my Timelapse camera. In the review portion of the video we go over the sticker placements of the two stickers and then the features. The main feature is the water release, there is a cargo bay that holds 10 circular trans blue 2x2 bricks to simulate water. This function works really well, with the exception you may loose the pieces on the floor after a few tries. Next up in the propellers, you can spin one propeller and that makes both spin. There is a hard to access gear on the top to do this function as well. Next up, the wings do have some adjustability to demonstrate angle changes like in an actual plane. Finally, the landing gear, the landing gear works as a whole for all three wheels. There is a gear on wither side of the front of the aircraft to actuate the wheel in and out. Mind you it does take quite a bit of patience to make this work. Overall I do recommend the set, I found the set refreshing and a break from my normal work. I do feel it is a bit price heavy. Before I end the video, I decided to give you guys a fun look into me choosing to hang the aircraft over the lego city. I did use 6 pound test fishing string since the plane is 4 pounds. I wanted to end this video by combining yesterdays video on the Fire Brigade and todays as a way to honor our first responders, and say thank you to all of you. As usual, thank you for watching!
