Friday Vlog: Expanding The Lego City... AGAIN! (Unbelievable How Much More Room This Will Make!)
In todays video we pick up where we left off Wednesday. In Wednesdays video we had three points. 1. A personal talk between me and you. 2. Installing Ikea shelves to move the Funko off the Lego shelves to make room for Ninjago. 3. Building another Ikea Linnmon table to expanding the city another 2 baseplates long. Well, we didn’t make it to three on Wednesday. So we start this video discussing quickly the new Lego Disney Castle coming this July. The begin assembly on the Ikea Linnmon table. This time the leg brackets all installed with failure, and we where able to slide the table in-between the Ivar Lego shelving and the Lego city like a glove. Now that we had our fifth table in place, it was time to part the Red Sea or in our case the town of ‘Why Not”. This was relatively easy to do, some sweat was lost in the effort. After the separation I did notice there was a three to four inch gap left over. With a bit more adjustment to the city portion of the town we where able to use that gap for another 16 x 32 baseplate. Now the expansion is 2.5 baseplates instead of 2. So this is wonderful news. After this we go through a list of parts now needed to purchase after to make the MILS plating to fill the gap. It does equal out to around 1,500 pieces, and total cost (Not mentioned in video!) was around $350 for the pieces. But off camera I already made the purchase to make this happen. I finish off the video station now the city portion of the town is now 6x4 32x32 MILS plate, and the rural portion of the town now is 5.5x4 32x32 MILS plate. So this means the concrete esque front half of city is proportionate to the woodsy back half finally! So on that, thank you for watching!
