The Multi-Medium - Episode 1: When there are Monsters, there is Art
6In today's episode of "The Multi-Medium", we learn the basic game mechanics in a graphite-themed world, explore a cave in a color pencil-themed world, and save a child from an eldritch abomination in a charcoal-themed world.
After learning the basic game mechanics- wall-jumping off of rocky surfaces and pushing blocks- we're transported to a cave world that's based off of color pencil art which more or less revolves around the mechanics that we learned in the tutorial. However, in this cave, we also have to contend with spikes and plants that fire rocks that can be redirected with wishbone-esque structures. In addition, the power source that we need to escape from this world in in the mouth of a viscous insectoid creature that wants nothing more than to turn us into a red stain in this color pencil world. So since our hero isn't a fighter by any definition, all we can do is run.
For our next world, we find ourselves in a charcoal desert where the main theme is exploring an ancient temple while avoiding any darkness- if you stand in even a small dark spot for more than a second, you're dead- and some hand-themed eldritch abomination lurking in the deepest sections. Though while the hand monster looks intimidating and the music makes you feel like you're going to die at any moment, it's completely harmless as long as you run when its not looking your way and hiding behind a structure when it is.
