The Multi-Medium - Episode 2: Skips was Never the Same Since "Regular Show" Ended
In today's episode of "The Multi-Medium", we swim through a watercolor sea and climb an acrylic mountain with a grappling hook.
As much as I like the first two levels, I love the next two that we cover in today's episode even more because in addition to the typical puzzles that we've been seeing, there's also a large emphasis on movement. As such, these levels are a blast to play as you speed through them.
For the game's third level, it really rolls with the idea of a world of watercolor by having us swim through a coral reef. However, unlike a lot of games where the underwater sections are slow and clunky, this game's underwater controls feel very similar to Zora Link from "Majora's Mask" (the original version, not the 3DS version), meaning that you move around effortlessly.
As for the boss, a giant electric eel, it's one of the few in the game that feels like a traditional boss. Essentially, you just need to move out of the eel's way when it charges and dodge its electric orbs until it slams into the ground, thereby allowing you to remove the bolts from its body.
For the game's fourth level, I find it to be my personal favorite in the game because the music is very relaxing, the atmosphere is calming, and for this stage only, you get a grappling hook with an insane range that really synergizes with the puzzles built around it. Not to mention, since you maintain your momentum when using the grappling hook, you can get some air when using it in the right area.
As for the boss, a yeti, its only attack consists of throwing snowballs that target your current position, meaning that you've got to constantly be on the move for this fight as you climb to the top of the mountain.
