The Stick of Truth - Some harmless glitches
Mainly a gnome dust glitch, and a messy but so far harmless overlapping menu glitch.
i) Use gnome dust to shrink, then enter menu as the animation starts. The characters are actually shrunk even though the graphics show otherwise. Changing buddy will update their models. Alien teleportation thingy also shows that you're shrunk. Characters can access tiny crevices in their state. Not shown: shoot range is shortened (shrunk shoot range).
ii) Some graphics issue, seems to appear whenever and wherever the game feels like it.
iii) The third one need some explanation, some background key presses. I'll be using (X360/PS3) buttons convention to explain.
- some overlapping menus. Pick up item (or open chest), at roughly the same time open menu. The choose item menu takes priority. Exiting that menu, the character's menu is messed up.
-- most notably is the missing character model. Only (RT/R2) and (X/square) works as it is. So accept and exit menu buttons are not functioning, initially anyway. (LB/L1) and (RB/R1) cycle the field abilities oddly enough.
-- there are 2 ways to fix this at this point. First is to press any goTo menu buttons (back/select) or d-pad, then the keys are all free.
-- second is to press (LT/L2) which somehow frees up (B/circle) to exit menu. If "gnome dust" is selected, the unshrink sound may play. Upon exiting the menu via this method however:
--- if "shoot" is selected, the character is locked into his aiming stance but can't shoot. Have to enter menu and exit, or pause and return. Not sure about getting attacked.
--- if "gnome dust" is selected, the gnome dust glitch as discussed earlier is active. Or if previously shrunk, unshrinks automatically.
--- if "alien probe" is selected, the character's melee weapon's graphic effect copies ranged weapon's. Only on field though, not shown on the battle. Fixed by enter and exit menu, or travel to another part of the map that requires a loading transition.
--- there may be some other variations I left out, shouldn't make much of a difference though.
-- basically it feels like the game went into a mixed state of field and menu control. Nothing particularly interesting so far.
