When we look to the fossil record (specifically at hominins), we find a lack of evidence for humans existing for hundreds of thousands to millions (when consider hominins like H. erectus) of years.
The evolutionary model has H. erectus living on the earth for over a million years (evolutionary scientists argue H. erectus lived from roughly 1.6 million years to at least 250,000 years ago). We can safely assume that at least a million erectus individuals were living across Eurasia and Africa. They would essentially be handling a massive distribution. If we were to assume their generation time was 20 years, we should find evidence for billions of erectus living on this planet in the past. But we do not find this evidence.
Billions of individuals (categorized as H. erectus according to paleoanthropologists) would have lived and died in the past. In light of a generation time of 20-25 years, you would have a million dead bodies in that same time. These are billions of individuals of which we have absolutely no evidence for. The amount of fossils found that have been associated with H. erectus could be fit into the trunk of a large car. Where is the evidence for the evolutionary story for H. erectus? The evidence simply isn't there. Homo erectus was also a sophisticated people group. They have evidence for building campsites, fire, and purposeful navigation. We should have ample evidence for this hominin living a million or more years.
The evolutionary story fails again. What we know about H. erectus fits better within a Biblical model. Homo erectus was fully human. We know they were an intelligent people group. Their anomalous features are best explained by isolation, inbreeding, genetic degeneration, and fixation. They are simply another people group that spread out after Babel, with many groups becoming isolated and eventually inbred. They are 100% human and made in the image of God.
