TheZeroEquals Gaming - Far Cry 6 - The Zero Hour Play!
Far Cry 6 feels like a bookend to what's been brewing since Far Cry 3. If Zaas had insanity as his driving force which connected him to Joseph Seed's control over his cult, then Pagan and his oppression blends seamlessly into Antón Castillo - El Presidente's full and dominating power over a population in turmoil.
In a fictionalized territory known as Yara, we find ourselves in the middle of a de-stabilized nation. We're set to play Dani Rojas, a local Yaran as we configure our way through a "modern-day guerilla revolution" to liberate our homeland. We've got jungles, beaches and cities, utilizing stealth, open combat and all sorts of gadgets and helpful companions like Chorizo the dog and Guapo the gator!
This entry into the Far Cry franchise doesn't just feel like a natural expansion of what the series has evolved into but also feels like a call-back to the mix of absurdity and over-the-top fun while underlying the story with a really menacing antagonist in Castillo, played to the hilt as a spine chilling performance ever delivered by Giancarlo Esposito.
Far Cry 6 brings all the bells and whistles you'd expect from the franchise while adding elements to keep things feeling uniquely innovative.
