Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon | OG Xbox | Elite Difficulty | 1440p | Longplay Full Game Walkthrough
And therefore, I have recorded every Ghost Recon game to come out on OG Xbox! :)). My full Ghost Recon playlist here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLxMV__-7Cw-1ReYMOBzM9mcNtMVhzM0Xy
Full game longplay of the Xbox version of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon, played on original hardware, in highest, Elite difficulty. This port was released exactly one year after the pc version, in November 2002. Game was also released for PS2, and Gamecube in a similar timeframe. Xbox generally considered to be the best: looking, running, faithful to pc version, the only one with actually working online play thanks to xbox live.
If anyone, for any reason, like loving one of my videos, would like to tip and buy me a kebab or something, then, well, I apparently had this here set up long time ago. Any tip would be appreciated. I'm a pretty old guy and got a job already, making longplays is a side hobby, job being actually the only reason I am not releasing videos like every second day, but that's adulting for you. Thanks for your time and any and all tips. :)) https://www.buymeacoffee.com/ermaclongplays
Recorded via Xbox HDMI cables, but still limited via my 5$ chinese capture device (no joke, but it works), to 1440p30 recording, though in a nice bitrate. The game tends to run from everywhere around 25 fps to 50-60 at times, though it's very variable and inconsistent. Still better than inconsistent 20-30 from the other versions when shit hits the fan.
============================================
Not much to say about the game, as I've beaten it more than dozen times already, you'd probably know my opinion of it by now. My one absolute favorite game of all time. It's the second time I've beaten it on Xbox though. Generally, there are very minor differences, and one quite peculiar. Minor? The enmy placement is in some places/missions quite different, which made me get rekt, and react in confusion. I also got the feeling the enmy count is in some missions quite higher than Elite PC version, and in some missions quite reduced, like in M08 Zebra Straw, the battlefield seems empty. Buuuuut, that might be due to Xbox's reduced drawing distance/much stronger fog. Which actually adds up nicely to the visuals I feel, and makes the game feel tougher. AND THAT'S HOW I LIKE IT. That peculiar difference? In the last mission, in Moscow, the beautiful metro/underground/antique gallery looking place was completely removed, and now there is only a very short linear corridor here. Also, there is no photo of Saint Afro-American Lady anymore near the entrance to said Undergroundy place. Sad :( Overall, due to input delay coming from capturing from Xbox, steering with a gamepad, old and slimy at that, the whole campaign took me about 1:10h longer than Elite on PC. Good result. Though there are a few missions where I wanted to ragequit, like when I didn't get the optional objective marked, on a literal first mission. The guy you capture in the caves, was still alive when I've eliminated all resistance. WHY DIDNT IT MARK AS COMPLETE? HE WAS ALIVE. Anyway. Good, old Ghost Recon. 9/10.
