Briefing:
About two hours ago we received a distress call via one of our secure radio frequencies. The signal originated from Mount Lone just west of the Restricted Area 01. This was thought to be unusual at the time since both your spec ops team and the Outcasts had no official patrols in that area at the time. We were going to send your squad to evaluate the situation but we had an Outcast volunteers instead who offered to go since they were only a few clicks out.

When they arrived at the AO, they found a wounded Wolf soldier who surrendered to the group and pleaded mercy, insisting it was him who sent the signal. When they questioned him, he told them that he doesn't have much time left and he desperately needed to go to a hospital. But the Outcast squad didn't trust him, feeling it was some sort of trap. Unfortunately, they were right. A missile from one of the nearby SAMs struck their position with sheer precision, killing everyone in the vicinity.

We thought we had lost all info as to what had happened, but our intel team investigated the radio signal from the Wolf soldier earlier and deciphered that the code contained more detail, including an ftp address. They downloaded what seemed to be a compressed file and revealed what turned out to be the jackpot.

Turns out this Wolf and many like him were part of an experiment that involved fitting new forms of biochips into their bodies which would allow faster and more accessible means of combat effectiveness. However, he and some of his colleagues discovered as well that the chip would allow them to be targeted by the same missiles armed in Sentinel's SAMs. The idea being is that if a Wolf is fighting in a lost battle, they would launch a missile in his current position and take out the remaining combatants, enemy or otherwise. He deemed it a grotesque method of combat and did not want to be part of it. However, his rebellion effectively caused an internal conflict that resulted in his death.

According to the intel he kept online, these chips are being designed and manufactured at the Arrow Testing Zone, which they link directly to all SAMs and Azraels in the region. The Wolf wanted to defect so that he could aid us in shutting down this project once and for all. Although he fought for the other side, we owe it to him to finish his job. After all, an enemy of our enemy is our ally.

Ghosts, Command recommends a maritime insertion as the Wolves have upped their patrols in the area just east of the facility. Take out all the guards inside and our tech and science team will do the rest.
