Mission: Clear out the Facility, Hack the Computer and Destroy the Truck
Briefing:
An oil tanker by the name of ULCC Fermont was boarded 2 weeks ago by the USCG, after it failed to report in after it crossed restricted Alaskan waters. Air Station Kodiak had dared a rescue where they managed to board the ship moving at maximum speed and headed for a collision course that would have caused much devastation, environmental and otherwise. When the situation became under control, the CG Team found the entire crew dead, bodies discovered in different decks, including the Bridge. What seemed strange was that prior to the boarding, no emergency or mayday calls were made beforehand. When an FBI Task Force were sent to investigate the job, their report turned out to be inconclusive, citing 'apart from the residue and fragmented areas that clearly indicated gunfire, no real explanation can be given as to who and how the attack was done'. It is not even clear as to why the attack was done, since everything inside the ship was intact, including the crude oil.
10 days later, a separate event sees a Chinese tycoon found murdered in his penthouse in Shanghai. The house was ransacked top to bottom but local authorities had a hard time understanding what was actually missing, since the owner did not document much on the belongings he had in the premises. Intel already had a file on this tycoon since he had visited Auroa on previous occasions under the behest of Sentinel.
When our tech boys hacked into his local private network, they made a stark discovery: not only was the owner of the company responsible for Fermont's shipping, he also owns and runs 'a self-sustaining island paradise' south east of the Kuril Islands. In other words, he manages China's version of Auroa. Our tech boys then managed to grab enough info that allowed us to get a clear picture of these current unresolved events.
It seems both Sentinel and Skell Tech were aware of this 'sister' island and feared its competitiveness for some time now. Sentinel had been planning a campaign for some time to either bring it down or slow its efforts in leading tech race. The attack on the ULCC was in fact a Sentinel SF squad ordered to sabotage the ship and causing an accident that would have been an environmental disaster, putting the Tycoon in a difficult position once the media discovered his connection (which would have been leaked by the very same PMC). Thankfully, the USCG's actions avoided this catastrophe, but it forced Sentinel's hand in assassinating the Chinese business man instead. This could have escalated into a global catastrophe had it not been for intel discovering the truth. Now, both the Chinese and US leadership are demanding a fierce response towards Sentinel's actions.
The Sentinel SF squad is based in Windy Islands Port in the Windy Island region. Your primary objective is to infiltrate and clear all the enemy soldiers inside. Once done, take care of any further patrols east of the facility until you reach Drone Station S01, where your next objective lies: hack into and disable the drone remote tracking system, which is placed into the same drone we suspect was used in the ULCC attack. We currently do not know the drone's actual whereabouts, so we're counting on you finding any intel that could lead you to the target, but whatever the case, it needs to be destroyed before its next deployment.
A lot of eyes on this one Ghosts. Good luck! Do us proud.
