8Tony the Tiger is one of the most iconic Cereal Mascots of all time and Jada Toys has immortalized him in action figure as part of their AD Icons line. Join us as we review the figure, explore Tony's merchandise past, and reminisce about classic Frosted Flakes commercials!
The Tony figure is amazing! He is a 6 inch figure and has over 12 points of articulation. Tony the Tiger has lots of detail and many paint apps and a great sculpt. This 1/12th scale figure of Tony is part of a line that includes Chester Cheetah, Count Chocula, Frankenberry and Boo Berry. This is more than an action figure review, it's also a Tony the Tiger toy and merchandise retrospective since we look at toys and plushes from the past including some recent ones from FUNKO Toys and Plastic Meatballs. That last toy company also made Toucan Sam and Dig 'Em the frog. At one point I sing along to the "Hey Tony!" song from the classic Tony the Tiger commercials from the 90s and the 2000s.
Jada Toys nailed Tony the Tiger. I hope they keep making more Television icons and AD Icons and Cereal Mascots. For sure they will also make Fred and Barney from the Flinstones with their respective cereals, Fruity Pebbles and Cocoa Pebbles. This is at the moment my favorite action figure of the year! It is a great toy. As Tony the Tiger would say, "They're Gr-r-reat!". Hope you enjoyed this review and retrospective video!
