Trails to Azure is the second game in the Crossbell arc and what a ride it is. Originally released in 2011 in Japan, the game officially released out West on March 14, 2023. The game is considered by many Trails fans as one of the best in the series, and I can see why.

The game is simply a masterclass in JRPG storytelling and world building.

Get ready for a lot of Crossbell action, Lloyd breaking more barriers, Lloyd still being clueless around the ladies, and more. Unlike the first game, this game goes hard into the story right away, with little fluff and plenty of twists.

The game also resolves many loose ends that were presented in the first game, Trails to Zero, while also transitioning nicely into Trails of Cold Steel, the next arc in the Legend of Heroes franchise.
