The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero has finally come out to the West officially. Originally released in 2010 by Nihon Falcom in Japan, the game never got an official release overseas. Since Trails from Zero and its sequel, Trails to Azure, never made it outside of Asia, international fans were missing a big chunk of The Legend of Heroes story.

Many international fans resorted to playing the excellent English mod, the Geofront mod playing the Asian release in Chinese or Korean, or straight-up playing the original in Japanese.

Now that the game is out in the West, the missing piece of The Legend of Heroes series is finally whole. Trails from Zero has the potential to not only complete the timeline for international fans, but propel the series past its niche, JRPG series roots to new fans.
