Picking my top 5 JRPGs of 2020 was tough. While last year was a bad one for many because of the world pandemic (COVID), 2020 blessed us with some of the finest JRPGs.

When picking my top 5 JRPGs of 2020, I placed the most importance on story and character development. Then after that, I looked towards music and gameplay. And finally, I wanted to see if a JRPG was the complete package.

The selections I picked on my final five all have excellent stories and character development, with some being that complete JRPG package. Now let’s get into some awesome JRPGs!
