The Defence Headquarters says 974 terrorists were neutralized by troops in various operations across the country.

This is as troops also arrested 621 others with 466 kidnapped victims rescued.

Major General Edward Buba Director, Defence Media Operations,gave the indication at a press conference held at the Defence headquarters Abuja to update Nigerians on activities of troops in various military operations in the month of February across the country.

According to him, 1,573 assorted weapons, and 23,345 assorted ammunition was also recovered by the troops in the month under review.

Other achievements recorded by troops as outlined by General Buba includes 44 BH/ ISWAP terrorists and their families submitting to the superior fire power of the military in Monguno, Biu and Bama Local Government Areas of Borno State.

Other onslaughts by the military in other Geo political zones were also captured in the briefing.

The DMO spokesman who used the opportunity to reiterate the commitment of the military to end terrorism and eliminate all forms of threats threatening the sovereignty of Nigeria.
