Turning Point Fall of Liberty: Was it really that bad?
When Turning Point Fall of Liberty was announced, I put it on my playlist out of sheer anticipation, hoping to maybe play another good shooty-shooty-bang-bang title on the PS3, because as we know, there wasn't exactly a flood of games available at launch. But when the first reports surfaced that there might be a few technical glitches on the Sony console, while the Xbox 360 version, of course, ran flawlessly again, I became a bit skeptical. The game's story was theoretically quite appealing, since it wasn't just another World War II shooter.
The story takes place in an alternate history. Winston Churchill dies in New York in 1931 when he's run over by a taxi. And whoosh! The whole world collapses, because apparently Churchill was pretty much the only person who could ever command the Nazis to stop, since the Americans, historically speaking, never had any desire for war and stayed out of the European fray. And so, what was bound to happen happened. The Axis powers took over the entire world until, in 1953, only the tormented United States of America remained. And it would be a shame if this fine continent weren't annexed to the rest of the world. And so, in their usual subtle way, the Nazis decided to pay the Americans a visit, bringing with them some airships, zeppelin carriers, jetpacks, and other stuff to show the hillbillies what real progress is.
