Zombie Zone (Onechanbara) is a must-play!
Zombie Zone, released in Japan in 2004 and here a year later, was part of the highly sought-after trash game series Simple 2000, created by D3 Publisher. It was a series of hand-crafted titles that weren't allowed to cost more than 2,000 yen. What no one knew at the time, however, was that the sword game developed by Tamsoft would become a resounding success.
We slip into the role of a young fighter named Aya. Everything she knows about sword fighting she learned from her father, but one day a serious misfortune struck. Her father was treacherously dispatched by a zombie army. Behind the zombie plague, however, wasn't some mad scientist or a T-virus, but her stepsister, who presumably wanted revenge for some reason. Armed with a very skimpy bikini, a cowboy hat, and a sausage knife, our heroine swears bitter revenge and must now slaughter zombies in droves to finally restore peace. Unfortunately, the mission won't be that easy, as a very temperamental camera sometimes throws a wrench into the elaborate gameplay.
