I think in light of the recent mass shootings, I'd want to get a good project off the ground. Obviously, anything involving guns casually (Advance Wars or Lost Frontier) is out, but why not involve something involving welcome messages. Obviously, Ultima 4 is dated with Guide Dang It handling and other questionable handling of its own virtue system, but the ideas are certainly there at least, and I'd rather make it clear that #VideogamesAreNotToBlame no matter how messed up video game communities in general are. Besides, I'm for going with something tame enough at the moment after my venture with Startropics, even if 2x Speed would be recommended for usage with this series, because the combat system IS rather dated.
Time to take care of another dungeon--in this case, Deceit, the antithesis to Honesty. Once again, I manage a case of memorization to know where to go and when. Of course, Deceit is happy to throw more dangerous rooms than what Despise had. The worst of it is the first forced combat room on B8, the one with the 3 Gazers, the Balrog, and the Cyclopses, the former 2 being able to place characters to sleep. I would want the Gazers dead at first convenience so that they can't randomly put my characters to sleep and allow landing a bunch of cheap damage I can do nothing about. It's funny how Sleep is nerfed for the player at all, simply by the player getting only 3 EXP per sleeping monster they kill, instead of the normal amount. Goes to show how immobilization of ANY kind is capable of being an obnoxious status change.
It doesn't help that the Awaken spell has its usability be dependent on the caster going sooner or else the targeted ally could wake up first and render the whole spell useless. Not that there are that many useful spells aside from Heal, Cure, Fire, and Dispel anyway. It doesn't help that the only learned spell that doesn't require Manroot or Fungus is Sleep, which of course sucks. It's more reason the Reagents should have costed less, especially since some of them have had potentially lower prices in the PC version of the game anyway. At least a standard dungeon trip shows indication of covering for Reagent resupply expenses and then some.
Anyway, 2 down, 5 to go.
Spell ingredient learning of note ATM:
-Tremor: Ash, Manroot, other ingredient(s) unknown (Beggar at Skara Brae and Soldier at Jhelom)
Coordinates of note thus far:
-69,105 - unknown so far, could just be a joke by all indications
-149,46 - unknown so far, but search should be done during double New Moons
